Coronation Cottage and its garden. And four sheds.

I am about to move to Shropshire, to a new home. And I'm getting married in September. It's going to be a whole new life. Not a deviation from a set course, more like a frantic leap from a precipice.

A walk on the Long Mynd

My London landlord and I took a brave stroll last weekend to the Long Mynd (Church Stretton) and Stiperstones, a little further west. It was blowing strong but my layers (built up from ale and turkey at Christmas) kept me nice and warm...
Through watering eyes, the view from the top of the Devil's Chair on Stiperstones was incredible, although looking into Wales, the wind shook my Iphone so much the pictures came out blurred. Much like my vision.
We got off the hill for a snack just as the drizzle came down... but braved a little drive eastwards to the top of the Long Mynd and a trig point aiming towards South Shropshire. More photos, but by now the sun was dipping and the temperature with the clearer skies was dropping, so we made out for home...
Beers, veggie bolognese (courtesy the missus) and silly dice games saw us to bed - our sleep very well earned...

Anxieties about work and home

This is the view over my front gate. It tends to keep me going, keeps me focussed on the goal. After last week's progress in the galleries, this week has seen all the stress I hate return. And all it makes me feel is huge longing for the cottage - where I call home but what actually isn't yet.
The frustration at the mortgage delay is making me tired. I'm sure this is raising my anxiety levels at work, and making me more desperate to be listened to. And with the notion of "It'll all be over soon" slipping further into the future, I need a good cheer up, or a good drink, or both...
